That awkward moment with a waiter...

Last week my family and I went out to enjoy a delicious meal. We took our seats and ordered our food and drink and casually spoke about our long days at school and work. Roughly 15 minutes later, we were greeted by the same waiter and the sweet smell of our ready made food. The waiter saves my meal till last and after carefully placing the hot dish down he says: 'Enjoy your meal', to which I replied, 'you too'...

  1. I have a few awkward moments which you may like to add in....

-I was about 6 years old, and in Waitrose with my dad. He told me to stay at the cash till while he went to get some cheese, but instead, after he had not returned for about 1 minute, I decided to go and look for him, this took me about 5 minutes, but then, in the distance, I could see my dad's bald head, and musky brown coat, I ran up to him, hugged him and shouted 'I've been looking for you for ages!' and soon enough, the man looked round to reveal that he was not my dad....at all. I burst into tears and well....how very very very awks.

-I went last summer to work at my dad's office for a few days to earn some extra cash, and I was in charge of only 3 things, the filing of my dad, the coffee making of his collegues, and the answering of phones. Let's put it this way, I only ended up working for him for a day, because I couldn't understand what the person on the phone was saying, so hung up, it turns out that was the owner of the building I was working in. I spilt the coffee onto the man that I was going to give it too (an important visitor) and I dropped the file full of tax returns that I had just finished chronologically arranging. Then at the end of my hard working day, i went to the lady to retreive my money, and she said "I am very sorry, but as you have not helped at all today, I am unable to pay you"....well, that was awks.
